The results of our sustainability pathway
The Sustainability Report collects and presents data and results about the environment, people, and corporate management in a transparent manner, allowing for the assessment of progress to date and the definition of future goals, the 2025 Report was drafted according to the international
Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards, one of the key references for sustainability reporting.
For the first time, Lovato has been included in Fiorini's reporting scope. The result is a common set of ESG data, results and goals for measuring progress and defining future actions.
15% of Lovato's energy needs met by photovoltaic power
In 2025,
photovoltaic power met 15% of the Lovato facility's energy needs, thanks to a 199.8 kW system; heat from the brazing furnace is now partially recovered and reused to heat the company’s facilities, while at the Fiorini plant in Forlì, the lighting upgrade has been completed, with traditional light bulbs replaced by LEDs.
These are the tangible results of a pathway geared towards energy efficiency, resource recovery and the reduction of waste.
75% of waste sent for recovery
In 2025, 75% of waste generated by the company was sent for recovery, a result that goes hand in hand with the application of lean principles, focused on the ongoing improvement of processes, reduction of waste, and optimisation of production activities.
The Fiorini-Lovato team and the 2026-2028 ESG Plan
Joint reporting is another achievement resulting from the Fiorini-Lovato Team's work. The Report defines the 2026-2028 ESG Plan, with shared goals for the environment, people and governance: monitoring of Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, new energy efficiency measures, increased use of renewable energy sources, waste reduction, and the development of solutions for monitoring energy consumption.
For the Fiorini-Lovato Team, sustainability has thus become a joint task that combines expertise, processes and innovation.
International best practice for open innovation
The Report's results also include the
Lovato Innovation Network, the open innovation project that involves customers, partners, installers and experts in the development and improvement of solutions.
The project was selected as best practice in the 2025 World Open Innovation Conference in Bilbao,
recognition of an innovation model that integrates in-house R&D with contributions from the network to develop solutions that are increasingly aligned with the market’s real needs.Contact Giovanni Zoffoli for further information on the sustainability report
