Lovato innovation network - an open innovation project
Lovato is fully dedicated to innovation with open innovation as a highest strategic priority. Lovato is building its innovation network as a key strategic resource for future growth. The future of Lovato products and solutions will not only be the result of internal R&D resources but of the collective power of all Lovato innovation network members.
Lovato innovation network includes partners, installers, end-users, customers, clients, experts, and in the future it will also include universities, startups, and companies from various industries and of different sizes.
Boxer open innovation project was a success
The new Boxer, launched in 2025, used the Lovato innovation network to improve the design before the final launch. We invited all our key partners, presented our open innovation project, and let them suggest improvements and innovations. Through the open innovation platform we received innovation suggestions which substantially influenced Boxer design.
This project was a great example of how Lovato innovation network makes products better for both customers and partners. We will continue repeating this process and we will extend the Lovato innovation network to include more partners, experts, and customers.
World Open Innovation Conference 2025
World Open Innovation Conference (WOIC) is the main global event which combines research and practice in the field of open innovation and innovation. It was established by the founder of open innovation - Henry Chesbrough - and UC Berkeley Garwood Center for Corporate Innovation.
It represents the global pinnacle of knowledge in open innovation and attracts some of the biggest and most innovative companies, organizations, and government agencies in the world - including NASA, CERN, Petrobrasil, Iberdrola, Heineken, Boehringer Ingelheim, UEFA, South Korea Government, and many others.
Together with OPEN OS, our open innovation partners, we qualified and presented our Boxer open innovation project at the WOIC 2025 Bilbao edition. It was a unique opportunity to be accepted and to be part of such a community. It was also a proof that our strategy is on the right track.
Next steps in our join innovation journey
Our innovation strategy, Boxer open innovation project, and WOIC 2025 participation are clear signs that we are progressing in the right direction, together with the Lovato innovation network. The future of Lovato innovation is a hybrid of our internal R&D and a highly collaborative Lovato innovation network. This nexus will only grow in coming years, making Lovato, its products, and its solutions even more innovative, valuable, and competitive.
